Work Work Work!!!

hello bloggers and bloggetts!!! sorry for not logging in a while....i have been somewhat busy lately. i recently was hired by Schools 4 Fools to create a poster and flyer for there event. the event was about 2 weeks ago ant it was so cool!... it was a B-boy competition, about 12 schools sent out teams to compete, the stuff these teams did was amazing! they are so athletic!!! i also got a bunch of great photos!!! i then got hired by a long time family friend (and my second mother) karen jones of antique restorations inc. to do some photography for her website of her beautiful antiques!!! so im looking forward to that, you guy will definitely get to see some photos of her work! she is so talented!!!!

On The Grind

had a meeting the other day with some graphics/photography teachers and got great feed back on my work!! so pumped about it!!! also yesterday i went to maintain urban art shop and met with the manager who is a phenomenal graffiti artist!!!! and he wants me to film his next piece (graffiti mural) and edit a movie on it!!!!! so excited cant wait!!!!!!!!

Once In A Lifetime Opportunity

so i just experience a once in alifetime oppertunity a few days ago!!! i got to socialize and communicate with them throught sign language!!!! i was at the orangutang enclouser and the mother rosie looked at, so i put my hand against the glass and she came up and put her hand against mine, that was when the trainer that was inside her enclousersaid she has never done that before so he proceeded to invite me in!!!

i started to have a conversations with her in sign language and asked to hold her baby, she put her hand against my chest and nodded then went to get her baby...she put my arms into a craddel position and put the little baby gabby into my arms!!! i then told rosie that her baby was cute and wanted to take her home with me...she took gabby from me and turned away, i thought i was in trouble!! but just then she turned back twoards me and smiled!!! she knew i was joking!! they are so smart and so loving and caring creatures!!! and sorry to say this but they are smarter then some people i know!!! hahaha

recommended the company, and man! did they do a great job!!!

one of the best parts is that they allow you to print different images on each card!!!

so i decided to pick 10 of my favorite photographs that i took myself to use as images on the back

of my large order of business cards, i feel this gives the potential client an opportunity to get a quick peek at whats in me portfolio as well as giving the business cards a more personal feel!!!

woohooo!!! i just ordered my new twovivid business cards!! they are gonna be sick! i designed them myself and on the back of the cards there is a photograph i took... but each card is unique because i picked 10 of my photographs so each card has one of the 10 on them!!!=) ill post pics when i get them!

F***ing with me cuz imma teenager, with a little bit of gold and a pager!-NWA

today was such a horrible day!!! i woke up late and was not able to go to the gym because it was PACKED! then i was on my way to my dentist appt and a guy in a black chevy tahoe was tailgaiting me and at an intersection the light turned yellow and i had to speed up and go through it to avoid being rear ended! and then bam! i see those damn blue and yellow lights in my rear view!! the cop pulled me over for speeding and added 10 mph to my speed because it was raining?!?!?!?! can they do that???!!!???!!! looking back on it i should have slammed on the breaks and let that ass hole send me thru the windshield!! at least the hospital bills would have been covered by insurance!! the ticket is gonna come out of my pockets!!! so the rest of my day was spent listening to f**k the polices by NWA haha... oh well tomorrows another day....this is a great way to start my birthday week :\

Farmers Market SWAG!

so today was a pretty chill day! i went to the library and read some books on urban art;) then walked over to the south pasadena farmers market...let me give you a little back ground before i jump into this story...so or those of you that dont know i LOVE china town you can get anything and everything there! and believe me, i have!!!! haha ok so i went to the south pasadena farmers market and was shocked at the prices!....15 bucks for eggs?!?!! if im gonna pay 15 bucks for eggs jesus better have laid them himself!!!! so any of my friends who have been to china town with mw will tell you that people there know me and a lot of the vendors and i are on a first name basis, so i never pay the asking price there...chinatown is all about persuasion and bargaining, the secret is to take the amount of cash you wanna spend and keep it in a separate pocket!...then when they say "this is 15 dollars" you come back with "damn all i have is eight bucks"....BOOM you just got yourself 15 dollars worth of fireworks for eight bucks!!! haha...so i tried this concept out at the S.P. farmers market...i walked in with 20 dollars and walked outta there with 40 dollars worth of product!!! BOOYAHHH

whoops! sorry i haven't written in a while!!... but i have been woking hard on some new art projects!!!one of them is a take on some subway graffiti and i am also working on a video of my friend alejandro throwing up some graffiti in his room. having some trouble figuring out a song but it'll come to me=)

Graffiti Of East LA

just put together this short video of some east LA graffiti i photographed for a very small art exhibit that i was asked to be in. graffiti is so much fun to photograph and look at up close because you can see all the imperfections and also see that they do not only use spray paint but also use markers brushes stencils and other things. and also the COLORS!!!!!!! soooo many great colors and everything has so much texture and depth.

A Home Away From Home
